Katherine and I had so many nice conversations about all the places she had been to, her family in South Africa, her time in Germany, so many friends she was in close touch with, her travels, her musical pastimes, her volunteer work with the Scouts, and on and on. She had so many interests! We had fun finding the best German phrases for her business correspondence and life’s situations or just enjoying some German chats. And occasionally we offered each other a mutual shoulder to “cry on”. What a lovely human being and friend she was! I am very grateful for her friendship and support. I will miss her very much.
